Empathy vs. Accountability Signature Keynote
Many organizations believe they must choose between being empathetic or holding people accountable. In practice, this false choice leads to burnout, miscommunication, and eroded trust, especially in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments. Empathy vs. Accountability is a 60-minute keynote in which Emily reframes these concepts as complementary leadership skills rather than competing values. Drawing from engineering, organizational psychology, and real-world workplace examples, she demonstrates how empathy strengthens accountability and how clear communication reduces emotional strain. Participants reflect on how unspoken expectations, avoidance of difficult conversations, and unclear boundaries quietly undermine performance. Rather than asking leaders or employees to “be nicer” or “toughen up,” this keynote introduces practical language shifts and mental models that support both people and results. Designed for larger audiences, the keynote is engaging and accessible, leaving participants with a shared understanding of how empathy, trust, and accountability work together in everyday professional interactions.
Pause. Breathe. Succeed. | A 3-Part Trust-Building Experience on Mindfulness & Emotional Regulation | Includes 50 Signed Books
Trust doesn’t erode because people don’t care. It erodes when stress goes unregulated. When people feel overwhelmed, misunderstandings increase, tone gets misread, and communication becomes reactive instead of intentional. Pause. Breathe. Succeed. is a two-part experience that helps employees build trust from the inside out using practical, workplace-friendly mindfulness and emotional regulation tools. Part One is a 60-minute session, typically delivered virtually. Participants learn a modern approach to mindfulness that goes beyond meditation, including simple ways to regulate the nervous system during the workday such as brief breathing resets before stressful meetings, mindful transitions between tasks, and environmental supports that promote focus and calm. Parts Two is a 60-minute interactive, somatic-based session that is highly recommended in person. Participants practice staying grounded while engaging in realistic, high-stress conversations, reinforcing the connection between emotional regulation, trust, and resilient communication. This session emphasizes that trust is built not only through team norms, but through each individual’s ability to feel steady and capable at work. This experience draws from teachings in Emily’s book, Pause, Breathe, Succeed. When delivered in person, participants can receive signed copies as a meaningful reminder that trust-building is an ongoing practice. The recommended format is two 60-minute sessions with Part One scheduled up to one month before Part Two. Each session can also be booked individually, and Part Two may be paired with any of Emily’s other workshops. Organizations interested in tailoring this experience for a specific audience or goal are encouraged to contact Emily to design a custom package.
Harnessing Our Neurodiversity | ADHD Acceptance Month Workshop
Neurodiversity exists in every organization, yet many workplaces still rely on communication norms and performance expectations that unintentionally exclude some of their most talented employees. Harnessing Our Neurodiversity is a 60-minute interactive workshop that helps employees understand how different brains process information, communicate, manage energy, and solve problems. The session includes 50 minutes of facilitated learning followed by 10 minutes of Q&A. Rather than focusing on diagnoses or accommodations alone, this experience reframes neurodiversity as a collective advantage when teams are equipped with practical tools for clarity and empathy. Led by a mechanical engineer and neurodivergent professional who specializes in workplace communication, the workshop resonates strongly with analytical, technical, and high-performing teams while remaining accessible to all employees. Participants leave with a shared language that reduces stigma and immediately applicable strategies for navigating communication differences, reducing cognitive overload, and supporting executive functioning more effectively across teams. To support measurable impact, the session includes pre- and post-workshop surveys, a copy of the slides and curated resources, and an impact report for ERG leaders summarizing participation metrics, key learning themes, attendee feedback, and recommendations for next-step programming or leadership engagement.
Spanish Language & Cultural Differences | Hispanic Heritage Month Workshop
Language and culture shape how we communicate and build trust at work, yet many organizations still assume messages and expectations are interpreted the same way by everyone. Connecting Across Language and Cultural Differences is a 60-minute interactive session with 50 minutes of facilitated learning and 10 minutes of Q&A. The session helps employees understand how language background, cultural norms, and lived experience influence communication in professional settings. Rather than emphasizing assimilation or “fixing” accents, the focus is on clarity, mutual understanding, and shared responsibility. Participants explore common sources of cross-cultural miscommunication, including indirect communication styles, differences in tone and urgency, and the cognitive load of working in a non-native language. Practical strategies are introduced to reduce assumptions, check understanding, and strengthen collaboration. Led by a mechanical engineer with experience working across the U.S. and Latin America, this session resonates with global and multicultural teams while remaining accessible to all employees. Participants leave with increased confidence, a shared language, and tools they can apply immediately. The session includes pre- and post-workshop surveys and a brief impact summary for ERG leaders.
Communicating with Confidence | Women Leaders Workshop
Many women in the workplace are highly capable, prepared, and insightful, yet still find themselves second-guessing their communication, holding back in meetings, or absorbing unnecessary emotional labor. Communicating with Confidence is a 60-minute interactive session designed to help women understand the often-invisible dynamics that shape how their voices are heard at work. The session includes 50 minutes of facilitated learning and reflection, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A. Rather than encouraging women to “speak louder” or “be more assertive,” this experience focuses on building clarity, self-trust, and executive functioning skills that align with individual values and working styles. Participants explore how stress, social conditioning, and workplace expectations influence decision-making and self-expression, and learn practical strategies for communicating with clearer boundaries, intention, and confidence. The session balances self-awareness with concrete tools, helping participants feel more grounded and steady in everyday professional interactions. Led by a mechanical engineer and empathy-focused facilitator with lived experience navigating technical and high-performance environments, this session resonates across industries while remaining accessible and inclusive. Participants leave with practical language, renewed confidence, and strategies they can apply immediately in meetings, feedback conversations, and daily collaboration. To support measurable impact, the session includes pre- and post-workshop surveys to assess shifts in confidence and clarity, along with a summary of key learning themes and participation insights for ERG leaders.
Neurodivergent Women’s Coaching Circle | Includes 5-10 Participants
This coaching circle is a supportive, small-group space for neurodivergent women who want to feel more calm, improve executive functioning, and build strong relationships without burning out or masking who they are. Rooted in the Empathic Engineering Energy Reset framework, this circle focuses on helping participants understand their unique nervous systems, energy patterns, and communication styles so they can build lives and workdays that actually fit how their brains function. Rather than relying on willpower or rigid productivity systems, the circle emphasizes co-regulation, community, and self-trust. Participants move through guided reflection, practical tools, and shared conversation in a way that feels structured yet compassionate. The group format reduces isolation, normalizes lived experience, and creates accountability through authentic connection, not pressure. Each session is a 60-minute virtual coaching circle, supported by approximately 30 minutes per week of optional asynchronous workbook content to deepen learning and integration between sessions. Curriculum topics can be tailored to the specific needs of the group, based on shared goals and challenges. The coaching circle can be offered as a 3-, 6-, or 12-session series, allowing organizations or individuals to choose the depth of support that best fits their needs. If your team is interested in a coaching circle for a different lived experience or audience, please reach out to Emily to discuss a custom coaching package.
