How to Stop Being your Child's Warden Workshop
Screen time, homework, sleep, food, chores: somewhere along the way, parenting starts to feel like enforcement. This 1-hour interactive workshop helps parents step out of the daily role of monitoring, nagging, and negotiating around the flashpoints that eat up the most energy at home, and into an approach that builds real responsibility in kids instead of constant supervision from parents. Employees will leave with a framework for handing back ownership of these daily battles so home feels less like a job they're always on the clock for.
"Parenting with Sanity and Joy" Keynote/Fireside chat
"Parenting with Sanity and Joy” is an hourlong, relaxed fireside chat that helps parents reduce the everyday stress and anxiety of raising children. The conversation reframes parenting away from and "18 year engineering project" and the pressure to to fix or prevent every uncomfortable feeling, and toward raising kids who are self-reliant, resilient, and able to navigate discomfort with confidence. Sue guides participants through why kids do not need to be rescued from every hard moment, and how parents can support them through everyday challenges in ways that are calm, empowering, and non-judgmental. The conversation gives parents practical strategies for helping children build problem-solving skills and healthy coping mechanisms. Includes 15 minutes of Q and A. May be recorded. Includes 25 signed copies of my book, "Parenting with Sanity & Joy. 101 Simple Strategies"
