Peace Cranes for Hope & Awareness with The International Rescue Committee
With Global Impact
About this opportunity
A hands-on origami activity with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) that connects creativity with learning about conflict and forced displacement. How it works: gather your team for a meeting, ERG event, volunteer week, or observance day; participants learn the Japanese tradition of folding peace cranes and its symbolism of hope and healing; employees fold their own cranes and reflect; IRC resources explain the global refugee crisis; the group discusses ways to support refugees through giving, advocacy, and volunteering; finished cranes are displayed in the office to spark conversation.
